In celebration of Christmas, I created a manger scene cake based on a picture frame craft project that I saw online...I figured it could be turned into a cake, and I was right! Baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary are sculpted from tinted fondant and they are in the stable (also made from fondant, chocolate fondant!!) . . . .the cakes are a vanilla 9x13 (which I added red and green sprinkles into to make more festive) and a chocolate 9x13 iced and stacked on top of one another. They were they wrapped in white fondant and decorated with the fondant manger scene. I used edible pens to draw the faces and write "Silent Night, Holy Night" on it. Relatively simple and quick to decorate, I hope the kids are excited when they see it!
