I wanted to bring dessert to a Canada Party BBQ at a friends house, but wasn't sure what to make.... On a whim I decided something red and white would be appropriate, and what's more red than fresh summer berries and more white than yummy cream!
It's a double layered white cake, filled with a lemon whipped cream filling, mixed with chopped fresh berries. I then garnished with fresh strawberries and raspberries to resemble the Canadian flag, but that's darn hard to do with the limited 9x13 shape, and big berries! It's ok, they all got the idea!
